Upgrading L3 Switches in live network of OSPF Backbone Area for NYC Transit Staten Islandr.

Developing an Extensive Configuration of backbone OSPF network to upgrade existing Nortel Passport 1648T by AVAYA ERS 5952 GTS l2/l3 Switches.

Perform design, implementation, Configuration and installation of OSPF network for Staten Island MTA substations.

IP Assignment calculation design for L2 and L3 devices in the OSPF network.

To make a phasing plan and SAT documents and perform it in presence of authorize personnel.

To make a fiber testing procedure and perform it by OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and OLTS (Optical Loss Test Set) and make a fiber test report by Fast Reporter.

Built network design flow, fiber distribution panel design, layer 2/3 network design using AutoCAD and Visio.

  • To make a FAT procedure and operation manual.
  • Responsible to maintain the operation of the live network during implementation. Test and verify connectivity within a network.

Installing Palo alto firewall and Cisco switches in the network.
Troubleshoot problems and error messages due to firmware bug by updating vendor provided firmware update.
